The clinics we set up and maintain will be clean and well equipped, operating at the highest standards possible. If a community already runs a clinic or hospital as Ambo does, we will dedicate our efforts in upgrading what is already available, while adding more of what is needed. All people within the region will be welcome to treatments there, bartering for payment if necessary. Also, the township will be encouraged to attend free classes that will educate them about disease prevention, first aid, and general health and wellness.
The nutritional and naturopathic protocol used will be based on a whole foods organic diet. Additionally, well-established U.S. and European companies have committed to donating specialized and well-researched supplements for our children in supporting their return to optimal health. Other healing arts such as muscle development, deep tissue massage/fascia work, yoga, chiropractic etc, will be included in the health regimen. We will also offer classes to teach optimal nutrition along with Naturopathic and Homeopathic medicine. We will focus on the healing applications of the plants and herbs native to that area, and the latest expertise and knowledge brought from around the world.

The moment we receive a new arrival, we will make sure that the child is thoroughly assessed by a doctor and counselor, then gently and efficiently treated with naturopathic remedies, as well as quality supplements. Allopathic or western medicines will be used in cases when that particular healing modality is the best choice. The staff will then carefully follow the clinic's recommendations, and will continue to monitor progress on a daily basis. The child will be taken to a chosen residence within The Spark of Light Village, where he or she will be well cared for and loved while a permanent home is arranged.
Very often the older children we receive will have been exposed to witnessing the stages of disease, deterioration and death of their parents and siblings, as well as abuse, acute poverty, and abandonment before arriving at our doors. In light of this, we will hire specialized counselors as an integral part of our staff. Also, all workers within the Village will receive basic training in counseling and child psychology. We understand that effective therapy will produce more emotionally stable and better-adjusted children. They then may continue their return to optimal health, as they ease into becoming a part of their new family. The very few children who do remain with us, will be taught the life lessons needed to leave the Village self-assured and ready to enter society.
We also intend to open a mother's milk bank where healthy women may donate their milk. Of course the success of this program will depend upon individual acceptance and the local customs. But we are convinced that with education, trust and time, this will become a key benefit for the babies and younger children who come to us, as well as for the young mothers. Women wishing to participate in the program will receive a thorough health exam to be accepted as donors.
