Each sectioned piece of land at the Spark of Light Village will be available for the use of families who will be willing to participate in our Farm Co-Op Program. Once an agreement is reached, the facility will proceed to give each family the seed, tools, irrigation, and technical know-how needed to produce healthy, organic crops. At the end of the harvest, the participants will have earned 40 percent of what they've raised to do with as they wish, while another portion of these crops will be used to feed the children and staff.
This same concept will be used with our organic vineyards, orchards and beehives. Other portions of these harvests will be available for sale to support the cash requirements needed to maintain the facility.
Participating members from the community will gain valuable educational experience in utilizing modernized agriculture to produce crops in a sustainable manner. This knowledge will then be passed to neighbors, friends and family. A win-win situation!
